My folks invited Sherri and me to Opera Pacific's 25th Anniversary Celebration Opera Ball. It was very fun. There was a full orchestra playing while we ate, and live performances throughout the evening. It was kind of strange because everything was so pink; it kind of seemed like a prom because of it. However, the evening in general and the music specifically was amazing. What was also cool about the evening is, just by happenstance, my parents are playing host to one of the performers (Shana Blake Hill, Soprano). She has been their house guest for about a week, so we got to meet one of the singers after the main performance of the evening.
Here's my parents, cutting a rug.
They were having a raffle of sorts. They were selling 200 Tiffany boxes and 199 of them were nice crystal boxes, but one of them was porcelain. If you got the porcelain one, then you won a $17,500 Tiffany's bracelet. My dad was generous enough to buy both my mom and Sherri each a box. No bracelet, but the box is nice. Here's Sherri before the box was opened.

Here's a picture of Sherri and me all dolled up. I think, besides weddings, this is the first time we have gone to a black tie affair since we've been married. It was fun dressing up and having an evening on the town.
