Once a Week?

It looks like for the time being job is taking over my life too much to have a somewhat daily blog. So I'm going to switch this to a weekly blog for right now. Let's see, what have we been up to?

Friday I went to the dentist - Yeah!On Monday (see not good at maintaining blog right now) we went out with Greg and Angel and family to The Beachcomber and Sprinkles. I like the The Perfect Circle better; next time Angel's in town, we'll go there.

Today, I went over to ask my dad some questions about a case I have and his long time friend Bill and Bill's wife Pam were there enjoying the new deck and watching the workers put in the pool. Sherri came over a bit later and we sat and talked for a bit. The backyard is definitely coming along. I say pool party this summer!

Baby Shower

Sherri and I had our first (of 2) baby showers today. Not many pictures were taken with our camera, so we'll have to get some more later. We did a diapering challenge with four of the guys. However, Ben was the ringer (he has triplets and changes MANY diapers a day) and so he won with flying colors. I actually didn't do too bad - came in second. My dad came in third, and Shawn looks like he gave up, and blindfolded his baby so it couldn't see what he did to it.It was a fun shower and it was great seeing everyone. Also, before everything started, Angel and family and Sherri and I went down to feed the ducks. There was a crazy amount of ducks and geese and some other fowl I'm not sure what it was. There was one goose (I didn't get him in the video) that was chasing away everyone else to get the bits of bread. Anyway, here's a video I took:

Pre-Shower Dinner

Yesterday Angel and family came into town for the baby shower we are having today. We had dinner at Sherri's folks' house. The baby shower today will have many sandwiches - they were making them for what seemed like hours.

My parent's got in their backsplash mural behind the stovetop. It came out very nice.

My Office

I've had a couple people ask me how my workspace is. Here's a few pictures of my office taken with my cellphone. I'm enjoying work (I can say that today - first day I feel I'm getting a handle on things).
On the baby front, Sherri had a doctor's visit yesterday, and everything is going smoothly. We'll have another ultrasound next week, but not a 4d one, so it will be a picture of Sarah's bones again. I'm still looking forward to an updated picture of her.

Catch-up

So I haven't posted in a couple days...What have we been up to? Let's see - Sherri has got whatever cold is going around. She went and saw a doctor today and got some (pregnancy safe) medication. Hopefully, this will make her better. I went to my sister's today to get a lesson on proper billing for my new job tomorrow. (My brother-in-law, Oliver, is very good at billing, an important skill for an attorney). My niece and nephews had fun in my new car.

Sawyer thought it was a playground and cried when we took him out.Yesterday, we went to check out the house Sherri's sister might buy. If the next picture looks familiar, it's because the model is identical to our house. If she buys this home, in our same community, she will live a couple streets from us.We also went to an all day birth class yesterday. It wasn't very informative. I learned how to breath from "Bill Cosby Himself" and the rest of it you can pick up from most TV shows or the internet. Just not very informative. But, I guess it's one of those things you do when pregnant.

New Car!

Today I got a 2003 Toyota Avalon XLS. I'm really enjoying it so far. It has working things in it. Let's see compared to my 1985 BMW 325 it has these advantages:
Working Air conditioning
Working FM Radio
Working muffler
Cupholders!
Working hoses (that don't leak stuff)
Working seals (so the rain doesn't come into the car)
It has many other advantages like airbags, bluetooth and stuff, but I really like the fact that it's much quieter with a working muffler. Very nice. Here's some pictures:

Apple Pancakes

My parents' kitchen is not yet finished, but it is functional, so after my dad picked up my sister's family from the airport, we met in the new kitchen for breakfast - Mmmm...Apple Pancakes.

Lunch with Friends

This afternoon we met some friends at Rutabegorz in downtown Orange for lunch. We had a very nice afternoon and made a return trip to the The Perfect Circle for some cupcakes. Unfortunately Mr. C's Records didn't have the 78 I was looking for. I've been checking ebay fairly regularly for Abbott and Costello's Who's On First on 78. I've seen it once and didn't bid. Haven't seen it since. The 78 version is my favorite of their famous routine. Hopefully someday it will be rereleased onto CD, or maybe I'll find the elusive 78.
